g(x) = x – 3

h(x) = 2x + 1

= (f o g)(h(x))

= (f o g)(2x + 1)

= f(2x + 1 – 3)

= f(2x – 2)

= (2x – 2)² + 3(2x – 2) – 4

= 4x² – 8x + 4 + 6x – 6 – 4

= 4x² – 2x – 6

b. (f o h o g)(x)

= (f o h)(g(x))

= (f o h)(x – 3)

= f(2(x – 3) + 1)

= f(2x – 5)

= (2x – 5)² + 3(2x – 5) – 4
