Diketahui fungsi f(x) = x2 - 5x + 3, g(x) = 2x + 4. Tentukan:

a. (fog)(x)

b. (gof)(x)

Pembahasan:

a. (fog)(x) = f(g(x))

                 = f(2x + 4)

                 = (2x + 4)2 – 5(2x + 4) + 3

                 = 4x2 + 16x + 16 – 10x – 20 + 3

   (fog)(x) = 4x2 + 6x – 1

b. (gof)(x) = g(f(x))

                  = g(x2 – 5x + 3)

                  = 2(x2 – 5x + 3) + 4

                  = 2x2 – 10x + 6 + 4

    (gof)(x) = 2x2 – 10x + 10
