Diketahui fungsi f(x) = (x - 2)(3 - x)2 + 4(x - 5)2 - 2. Tentukan nilai:
a. limx→-∞ f(x)
b. limx→∞ f(x)
Jawab:
f(x) = (x - 2)(3 - x)2 + 4(x - 5)2 - 2
= (x – 2)(x2 – 6x + 9) + 4(x2 – 10x + 25) – 2
= x3 – x2 + 9x – 2x2 + 2x – 18 + 4x2 – 40x + 100 – 2
f(x) = x3 + x2 – 29x + 80
