Diketahui f(x) = x4 + x2 – 3x + 2 dan g(x) = x3 + 2x2 – x – 3. Tentukan:

a.     f(x) + g(x)

b.     f(x) – g(x)

c.     f(x) × g(x)

Jawab:

a.     f(x) + g(x)

     = x4 + x2 – 3x + 2 + x3 + 2x2 – x – 3

     = x4 + x3 + 3x2 – 4x – 1

b.     f(x) – g(x)

     = x4 + x2 – 3x + 2 – (x3 + 2x2 – x – 3)

     = x4 – x3 – x2 – 2x + 5

c.     f(x) × g(x)
