Diketahui f(x) = 4x – 5 dan g(x) = 6x + 3, tentukan:

a.     (fog) (x)

b.     (gof) (x)

Jawab:

f(x) = 4x – 5 

g(x) = 6x + 3

a.     (fog) (x) = f(g(x))

                   = f(6x + 3)

                   = 4(6x + 3) – 5

                   = 24x + 12 – 5

     (fog) (x) = 24x + 7

b.     (gof) (x) = g(f(x))

                    = g(4x – 5)

                    = 6(4x – 5) + 3

                    = 24x – 30 + 3

      (gof) (x) = 24x – 27
