Diketahui f(x) = 3x + 1 dan g(x) = 5x + 3, tentukan:

a.     (fog) (x)

b.     (gof) (x)

Jawab:

f(x) = 3x + 1

g(x) = 5x + 3

a.     (fog) (x) = f(g(x))

                    = f(5x + 3)

                    = 3(5x + 3) + 1

                    = 15x + 9 + 1

     (fog) (x) = 15x + 10

b.     (gof) (x) = g(f(x))

                    = g(3x + 1)

                    = 5(3x + 1) + 3

                    = 15x + 5 + 3

      (gof) (x) = 15x + 8
